01 Summary
Users pick a vibe — Chill, Romantic, Study, Adventure, Budget, Social or Solo — and get cafés, restaurants, bars, activities, parks, rooftops and hidden spots open around them. An interactive prototype that brings the concept to life on mobile and desktop.
02 The problem & approach
"What should I do right now?" is both mundane and surprisingly poorly solved.
- A "mood-first" starting point: you pick a vibe, not a category
- Filtered by time, budget, location and STM station
- Enriched place pages (% match · budget · walking time)
03 Two differentiators
What sets Vibe apart from a plain place directory.
- STM Pulse: each metro station becomes a discovery interface (events, spots, walking time, vibe around the stop)
- Vibe AI: an assistant that turns a vague urge ("what to do tonight in 2h?") into a concrete plan
- A light community layer: mini-reviews, vibe votes, submitted spots (Discoverer badge)
04 Limits
- Interactive prototype: the target product (Next.js · Supabase · OpenAI · Google Maps · STM GTFS) isn't built yet.
- Vibe AI and STM Pulse are mocked/simulated — no API is actually wired in.
- Place and event data are illustrative.
